Sonalee Kulkarni proves that virtually every rock in hampi has a story to tell

Hampi is a place which keeps one guessing and allows him to introspect. The cool breeze which blows when one sits on that hill, the serene nature and calmness hold you to the place. The banks of Tungabhadra River acts as a topping on this already delicious ice-cream.
I had always been a traveler, I would say a backpacker. I love exploring places at my own speed. I recently watched this marathi movie "Hampi" starting Sonalee Kulkarni and it left me speechless.
I could correlate with the mood the character brings out in the tranquil atmosphere of Hampi. It eventually took me again to one of the most important questions in life, what is wealth?

I recently read a book written by Robin Sharma which says there are many forms of wealth. Wealth is not just an economic commodity. But the different forms of wealth include Economic wealth, Physical wealth, Relationship wealth and Adventure wealth. Sometimes, reading a good book can have a pro-founding effect on us because reading a book is like having a conversation with the author. I had a similar experience watching the movie Hampi and could relate to the relationship and adventure side of wealth. We all postpone living our life. We say that we will live our best lives when we have more time or we finish the pressing projects that are consuming us. We keep on telling ourselves that we will be more passionate and loving when things slow down.

The movie Hampi gave me a cinematic experience. I love movies where there are fewer dialogues and the lead characters express the mood through their facial expressions which are complemented by quality background score. In Hampi, one gets both. Acting from Sonalee Kulkarni and music by Aditya Bedekar. I love movies with a happy ending, but more importantly, I like the transition and journey before the lead character experiences the bliss moment. At Hampi, Sonalee Kulkarni gives us one of her finest performances to date. I saw Hampi for the second time only for Sonalee Kulkarni. When one watches the movie again, he will able to find those finer nuances which might have gone unobserved.

Sonalee refrains from giving a broad smile during the setup, since she is unsure about the relationship issues at home. At the conflict stage, her relationship side improves and we see Sonalee opening and smiling. What comes during the resolution stage of the film is the flooding smile of Sonalee, which according to me, is the high point in the movie. This is what I call a roller coaster ride of emotions and going into the skin of the character and Sonalee Kulkarni has nailed it.

Hampi is a movie which every trekker, backpacker, traveler, explorer will enjoy. Last but not the least, I express my sincere thanks to Sonalee Kulkarni who herself is an epitome of gratitude, for delivering this fine movie. After climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb. Sonalee (Isha) takes a moment to rest, to steal a view of the glorious region of Hampi & to look back on the distance she has come.

I wish her all the best in her long walk which has not yet ended.
